Booking guide: When you reach the booking page, simply select your hire start and end times. On desktop, click your desired start time, drag down to your end time, and click again. On mobile, just tap your start time, then tap your end time — too easy.
Your bike: For those who prefer the traditional ride, we offer quality hardtail mountain bikes (Norco & Bobcat). Perfect for the Harbour Loop, exploring the city, or venturing onto off-road tracks. What’s included: Free helmet, cycle map (activity brochure), bike padlock, puncture repair kit (with tools & pump), water bottle holders, and access to fresh filtered water to top up your bottles before you go.
Extras: Add-ons like vehicle bike racks and insurance are available during checkout.
Flexible hours: We’re open every day, 7am–8pm, so you can enjoy early morning rides or evening spins. Choose short or full-day hire — the booking system lets you set start and finish times. Just remember: all bikes must be returned by 8pm if booked for the evening.
Booking tips: We recommend booking online in advance to secure your bike. Once booked, you’ll receive an email with clear instructions on bike access and safety guidelines (printed guides are also available on-site).
Pick-up point: Collect your bike from our modern self-service kiosk at 10 Harrow Street. Centrally located near the CBD and right at the start of the Harbour Cycle Loop, you can head towards Portobello or Port Chalmers with ease.
Restrictions: Riders must be at least 150cm (4’11”) tall. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (18+). One rider per bike only.
Explore: Start your adventure with the Harbour Loop or explore one side of the Peninsula. The most popular option is to complete the full loop and hop on the Port to Port (click here) for an added experience.
